The Senior Counsel Bar is composed of advocates upon whom the rank and dignity of Senior Counsel has been conferred pursuant to Section 17(1) of the Advocates Act, Cap. 16, Laws of Kenya.

Its members are recognized for irreproachable professional conduct and exemplary service to the legal and public service — leaders in jurisprudence, mentors to young advocates, and champions of justice.
